Jo Speed provides strategic leadership to the Succession Alliance, leveraging her deep understanding of farm business dynamics and her commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in succession planning.

Jo is a dedicated and highly skilled professional experienced in all aspects of facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, with her whole career involved in the agricultural industry, including over 25 years working in a communication capacity, from consultancy to knowledge transfer roles.

Jo trained with Sian Bushell in 2017 to work with farming families dealing with succession planning. Since then, she has worked across the UK, supporting different types of farming families and businesses to discuss succession; helping them find common ground and progress together in finding solutions and an agreed way forward.

Jo is also a qualified life coach. She holds a diploma in Life Coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and has recently qualified as an NLP Practitioner.

Jo lives with her farming family on a tenanted arable farm in the northeast of England and works freelance as a rural life coach, helping farming families and businesses discuss succession, as well as working as a facilitator and a mentor across the agricultural industry.
